TARGETING
With base line Key Performance Indicators set, and with use of Energy Audit results and Action Plan Projects, Targets can be established, over one or more years, to quantify improvements in Energy Efficiency.
REPORTING
Establish Report Formats both for Senior Management, and for all Site Personnel. The content will vary according to the recipients, but should be clear in identifying previous, present and Targetted future performance.
AUDITING
Carrying out Audits and Surveys of all site facilities, and identifying possible areas where energy savings are possible, will provide useful data for generating challenging Targets for future energy usage, and will help identify Projects for inclusion in an Action Plan.
ACTION PLANS
Action Plans can be generated to formalise the work/projects required, over selected periods, to ensure resources(both time and finance) can be made available to ensure the Programme is successful, and shows continuous improvement.
TRAINING/AWARENESS
Establishing an Energy Management Programme will require support not only from Senior Managers, but all site personnel. All personnel will need to be made aware of the Programme and where appropriate be provided with particular training.
